Reasons=Conditions

Hi,

I really apreciate Royben, who keep posting good writings on this blog. And after idle for months, I want to try write something that I was thinking this morning.

Begin with simple question. A loverbird often ask about this:

"Why me? Why do you love me?"

A question begin with 'why' usually answered with 'because..' or a reason. Some might answer it, "because you seems love me that much," or "because you are kind, caring, funny, etc..'

me?

I'd rather answer. "you know what? I don't think I need a reason to love you."

hahaha.. you might find it silly. But I think if I give reason WHY I love someone, it means I love that person conditionally. If, for example, I love someone because that person cares about me. Then someday he doesn't care again, should I stop loving him?

The same thing if you say this statement.

"the reason why I change myself is because of you."

I personally don't think changing myself for someone else is a good idea. It gives a condition to your changes. If the person is gone, would you still maintain the changes? well.. i'm not crazy about changes. i love my comfort zone. i do open myself for critics.but changing myself for someone else for me is.. ridiculuos.

So at least i learn one point here. if you give reason for something, for some situations and circumstances, you also give condition. and i really don't need a reason to make me a better person.

so yes, the reason i change myself definitely NOT because of you :)

my.. my..

nice post that you have here..

Agree! Sometimes, you don't need a reason to do something. Like, you don't need a reason to help others. If you have reason, then when that reason is not accomplished, you won't help others.

Wow! Nice thought! Keep up the nice work!

Strong words Wiydiy! That's right you don't a reason to be a good man. You are BORN to be a good man!

the statement should be, "the reason I changed myself is because i was born to be decent"
